I doubt any of you are still out there, and I don't blame you. I have been absent for a scary amount of time. Life is good but so so hectic and of course my focus is on daily life with my little one. Things are going great, my little baby boy is getting big really fast and I'm very busy trying to keep up with him every day and loving it.
But as he fast approaches being 9 months old I am also busy trying to deal with my upcoming return to work and the non-mother part of me. Part of that is trying to get my body and mind back into better habits and I feel I need to be back here for the accountability and motivation. I am still nursing (although trying to add some formula in during the day which has so far been unsuccessful) and still not being careful enough with what I am eating. I also heard that you hang onto the last few pounds until you stop nursing - something to do with oestrogen and muscles or something. But I really should be trying harder and not let those legit explanations become excuses for not working at getting myself back on track.
I've been so bad at remembering to drink water too. How can it be so hard? Seriously! And I've sort of hit a wall with exercise. I mean, I walk like crazy, pushing the stroller around all over the place every day, but I don't get much formal exercise and I miss it. It's so tough when you don't have childcare. So I really do need to fix my eating so that I'm getting ONE thing right! Don't get me wrong, my eating isn't horrendous, it's just not as good as it could/should be. Since pregnancy I've developed a sweet tooth and those sweet treats creep in too often, and there are a few too many meetups that involve coffee and cake with other mums too.
Anyway, I'm rambling. The bottom line is, I need to get myself straight and you guys help me do that. I'll be catching up on your blogs a little more regularly (Yay to iPads and reading in bed at all hours!) and catching my inspiration from you guys. I've missed you.

I know the feeling - it is so hard to find time to blog. you are busy with your baby and Im busy with the wedding and some times those things just happen. It sounds like you have a lot to balance and it is hard to remember certain things like getting enough water and packing healthy snacks and such. for me it was always about planning, so even if you have only a few minutes to yourself ever day, just plan out what your are going to do the next day. Fill a water bottle up the night before that holds at least 4 glasses of water so when you see it, you know have to keep drinking and drink most of it by at least dinner time. just go one day at a time, one change at a time and you will be back and set in your healthy ways. good luck!
